What is 13p5?
Being a startup founder can be lonely. Your team can be small — maybe not much of a “team” at all. And while your product or service might be incredible, finding business success for that idea isn’t something that comes naturally.
That’s where 13p5 comes in.
We’re a source for startup founders and early employees of start ups. Or, frankly, anybody who can use a place for an exchange on how to grow a successful business around a great idea. Our name comes from the Diffusion of Innovations theory of Everett Rogers. Specifically, we named this site after the critical point at which an idea becomes a business: When the early adopters — or 13.5 (13p5) percent of consumers — embrace your idea.
Diffusion of innovations is a theory that seeks to explain how, why, and at what rate new ideas and technology spread through cultures. And the team at 13p5 seeks to examine the methods used in today’s share culture to gain those early adopters who can accelerate a business into mainstream success.
