Startups tend to build towards what makes the most intuitive sense to them. Usually that’s the best course of action, but there are exceptions. Jason Lemkin of SaaStr looks at the surprisingly dramatic usage of the “contact me” button on product pages and concludes that while the savvy entrepreneur may just want to make their purchase as quickly as possible based on the information online, it turns out that an evident majority of people prefer to be sold by a human being. A great proof that while your early adopters may be thinking on your same wavelength, you should still be ready to cater to the next step on the curve too.
